Better than Medicine!

What a great weekend with Papa!

Two weeks ago, Nash, Gaines and I packed up and went to Holly Springs to see my grandfather, Papa. He just recently celebrated his 84th birthday and he was due for a visit from the Stallings clan. He hadn't yet gotten to see Gaines walk and he was filled with excitement, as he and we are always when we get to visit. I asked him what he wanted to do while we were there and he replied, "All I want to do is sit in my chair and watch that little boy!" And that is what he did besides going to lunch at Phillips Grocery with us to eat a famous hamburger, a must when we visit Holly Springs. It was such a fun visit. Gaines definitely entertained Papa. On Sunday after we left, Papa told my Aunt Candace that our visit was better than medicine could ever be to him. Papa always says that visits from his grands and great grands extends his time here on earth with us.....jokingly.
